HUBBALLI: Anjuma-E-Islam is all set to go for election on June 15, to elect its new president and other office bearers for the period of next three years.
Addressing press conference at the Anjuman office in the City, Zubair Ahmed, election officer for Anjuman-E-Islam Hubballi said, “The election will be held to 52 posts including President, Vice-President, General Secretary, Joint Secretary and other office bearers. As many as 11,513 voters will exercise their franchise to elect the new body.”
“Polling will be held from 8 am to 5:30 pm on June 15 at Nehru College, Anglo Urdu High School, National School, Government School Number 05, Shantiniketan English Medium School, and Kannada School Number 01. Counting of votes will be held on June 16 from 8 am onwards at Nehru College in the City,” he added.
The voters list will be made available at Nehru College’s library at 11 AM on May 25. The eligible voters can bring any of twelve approved ID cards to the polling station to cast their votes.
The election has turned out to be prestigious issue for leaders of Muslim Community to take control of the institution.
Hubballi Tehsildar Shashidhar Madyal and other officers were present in the press conference.
