HUBBALLI: At a time when a few NGOs, students and like-minded people are working hard to beautify the city by cleaning and painting walls, some citizens repeatedly attempted to deface such walls in Dharwad recently, and now Hubballi has also not remained safe from such elements.
The walls under Deshpande Nagar railway bridge had been painted with beautiful sketches and graffiti by some students and NGOs. Without bothering about their hard work, some citizens have pasted ‘Hubballi Chalo’ and ‘Kerala Chalo’ posters on these walls.
Social activist Ottilie Anban Kumar wrote on her fb wall “In addition to Chalo Belgaum, Chalo Kerala, Chalo Hubballi etc. they should also be motivated to Stay in their own cities and keep it Clean & Beautiful”.
She also wrote “Let their slogan also be : Chalo Badlo Hubballi Dharwad Ko!”.
