BENDRE BUS MAY STOP PLYING BY JUNE END

HUBBALLI: Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) project, which is implemented on Hubballi-Dharwad Road, is likely to put brake on the movement of Bendre buses.

The government on April 8 has issued a circular to cancel the permit of Bendre buses, observing that the ‘Chigari’ buses may incur loss if Bendre buses continue their operations on this road.

With this, Bendre buses are likely to be off the road from June end.

Rash driving, and haphazard stop causing traffic congestion were also among negative opinions expressed about Bendre buses by citizens on several occasions.
