COVID-19 AWARENESS: JUMA SERMONS REPLACED WITH DOCTORS’ TALKS IN HUBBALLI’S MOSQUES

HUBBALLI: In a unique way to create awareness about novel coronavirus, doctors replaced maulanas in Friday sermons in several mosques in the City today. Muslim Doctors Association decided to take this opportunity to dispel the misconceptions about coronavirus and pass on the true message about the infection to the public.

Speaking to Hubballi Times, Ashraf Ali, Mutavalli of Keshwapur’s Shabri Nagar mosque, said that the masjid committee decided to shorten the Juma sermon and use this opportunity to create awareness about the deadly virus. Dr. Shafi gave a talk in the Shabri Nagar’s mosque.

“Do not panic or spread rumors but avoid spreading of Covid-19 by maintaining personal hygiene,” Ashraf Ali added.

According to Dr. Masood Jagirdar of Muslim Doctors Association, he gave a talk at Kohni Masjid, while Dr. Bijapur addressed at Syed Fatesha Darga, Dr. Kammar at Asar mohalla, Dr. Azad at Vishal nagar, Dr. Yunus Najmi at Madni colony, Dr. Ataullah Sharif at Noorani Masjid, Dr. Faiz Syed at UKT Hills, Dr. Suhail Ambi at Jamia Masjid CBT, Dr. Zaheer at Altaf Nagar, Dr. Irfan Sargiro at Diddi Oni, Dr. Ziya Kittur at Khasai Mohalla, Dr. Sajid Dafedar at Shirur Park, and Dr. Imam singoti spoke at Masjid e Abu Hurraira.
