DHARWAD BUILDING COLLAPSE: 2 KILLED, 40 FEARED TRAPPED

DHARWAD: At least two people were killed and around 40 are feared trapped under debris after an under-construction four-storeyed building collapsed in Kumareshwar Nagar of Karnataka’s Dharwad, PTI reported.

Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has expressed shock over the incident.

According to police, the building came crashing down, triggering panic among neighbours and passers-by.

As many as 10 ambulances and five fire tenders have been pressed to carry out rescue and relief operations. Rescuers have pulled out 28 people from the rubble, police said, adding, the injured have been hospitalised.
