DHARWAD: DOCTORS WARNED AGAINST RUNNING CLINICS AT SCANNING CENTERS

DHARWAD: Dr. RM Doddamani, health officer of Dharwad district, has warned doctors against running clinics at ultrasound scanning centers in the district.

“There is no provision to run clinics at the scanning centers that have been registered as ultrasound scanning center as per the Karnataka private medical establishment act 2007,” Dr. Doddamani said in a release.

“It was recently spotted that several prestigious multispecialty hospitals in Bengaluru were running their clinics at various diagnostic centers in the state capital. Running clinics at the centers which have registered as diagnostic centers are not permissible,” he added.

Dr. Doddamani further said, “If doctors wish to run clinics, they must submit necessary documents and get permission from the district registration authority before February 28.”

“Strict action will be initiated against those who are running clinics without permission,” Dr. Doddamani warned.
