DISINFECTION TUNNEL LAUNCHED IN HUBBALLI

HUBBALLI: As a precautionary measure, the district administration and HDMC in association with the Young India (YI) and Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) a disinfectant tunnel has been set up at the main entrance of the APMC in Amargol in the City.

District In-charge Minister Jagadish Shettar inaugurated the tunnel today.

YI Hubballi-Dharwad President Shrinivas M Joshi said, the tunnel is a walk-through structure that would spray 1% of sodium hypochlorie solution through high-pressure micro-nozzle sprinklers.

“Disinfection tunnel will not eradicate the virus inside the body, but definitely decreases the viral load on the body surface area,” he added.

Deputy Commissioner Deepa Cholan, Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner R. Dileep, HDMC Environmental Engineer Nayana, Police Inspector Prabhu Surin, Dr. Nagarajnayak, Kiran Malavade, CII President VSV Prasad, Anupama Betal and others were present.
