DHARWAD: As a precautionary measure to contain spread of COVID-19, the Department of Public Instructions has issued a circular declaring holidays for teaching and non-teaching staff till March 31.
During this period, teachers can work from home. They can conduct online classes, prepare lesson plans notes, and other things, the circular says.
This order is applicable to all teaching, non-teaching staff, researchers, fellow ships working in the government, aided, and unaided institutions across the state.
However, the employees are not allowed to move out of their respective headquarters. In case government needs the service of its employees in emergency, the government may call them back, the circular says.
