HUBBALLI: In a bid to facilitate the people to immerse their Ganesh idols, the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) would be introducing mobile water tanks.
This facility will be made available for the general public from September 17 (Fifth day of Chathurthi festival) from 6:00pm onwards.
These mobile water tanks will be touring in all the wards and at the doorstep of the people. People have been asked to ensure that they immerse the idols in the mobile water tanks and save the water bodies.
In Hubballi, the mobile water tanks will be available in at Vidyanagar, Shirur Park, Navnagar, Unkal, Bhaillappanavarnagar, Bhavani Nagar, Deshpande Nagar, and at Vijay Nagar on September 17 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.
Similarly, the mobile water tanks would be visiting Gandhi Nagar, Malmaddi, Rayaramutt, Hosayellapur, Srinagar, Saptapur, and Jainagar, on September 17 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. These vehicles will be making a public announcement as they arrive in their respective areas.
KSPCB Officer Vijaykumar Khadakbhavi has warned that those violating the order and immerse in the water bodies would face strict legal action.
