HUBBALLI: ‘Invest Karnataka-Hubballi’ investors’ meet to be held at Hotel Denissons in the City on Friday (February 14) and more than 1,000 industrialists from different places across the country are expected to take part in it.
According to Large & Medium Scale Industries Minister Jagadish Shettar, around 650 investors have already confirmed their participation, while 15 to 20 MoUs are expected to be signed on the day of the investors’ meet itself.
“This event is organised to attract investment for industrial growth in Tier 2 and 3 cities in North Karnataka region. Major industrial houses like Tata and Hinduja groups will also send their teams. Representatives of a Chinese company which is into electric vehicle manufacturing, will also participate,” he said.
Around 500 acre of land in Hubballi-Dharwad is ready for allotment, and more land can be acquired if demand comes. A few industries have shown interest for expansion in Kadechur in Yadgir district, where 2,000 acres of land is available, Shettar said.
