HUBBALLI: Around 300 long-route buses which were earlier being operated from the City’s Old Bus Stand will originate from new Hosur Terminal, which was inaugurated by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, on Sunday.
The new Hosur Terminal has been developed with modern passenger amenities at a cost of around Rs. 60 crore. It has 28 platforms, including six for BRTS feeder buses. The terminal has two air-conditioned lounges, two escalators, six lifts.
According to NWKRTC, all long-route buses will be diverted to Hosur from the Old Bus Stand in a couple of weeks.
In the first phase, buses bound for Koppal, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Gadag, Bagalkot, Vijayapura, Davangere, and Haveri among other routes that will originate from here. In the later phases, all buses will be shifted to Hosur after upgrading the roads.
