MEDICINE STORES TO REMAIN SHUT IN TWIN CITIES TOMORROW

HUBBALLI: In a bid to oppose the sale of medicine through e-pharmacies (online), a protest will be held by closing down all the medicine stores in the Dharwad district.

Informing this to media persons here on Thursday, Dharwad District Pharmacists Organisation President Ravindra Bhusad said around 1,400 medicine shops in Dharwad would remain shut to support the nationwide strike called by the All India Organisation of Chemists & Druggists (AIOCD).

A protest march will be taken out from Sangolli Rayanna Circle, which will pass through the main streets of the city, and reach Tahsildar office. There, the protesters will submit a memorandum to Prime Minister Narenra Modi via tahsildar.
