Hubballi, May 21: Deputy Commissioner Deepa Cholan has issued an order denotifying a containment zone in the city.
Azad Colony in Keshwapur here has been denotified with effect from 12 pm on Thursday, said the DC.

The containment zone had been with the limits of James Land Arch in the east, Azad Colony Garden in the west, Ramesh Bhavan in the north and Sarvodaya Circle in the south. There are 335 houses and 20 offices and shops in the area, with a total population of 1,675. Also, the buffer zone had extended from Suwarna Garden on Kusugal Road of Ward 48 on the east to Ashoknagar Bridge of Ward 34 on the west, BSNL Office on the Gopankoppa Main Road of Ward 30 in the north and DRM Office in Ward 47 in the south.

This order came a day after Mulla Oni in the city was removed from containment zones.
