RESIDENTS PROTEST DEMANDING DRINKING WATER

HUBBALLI: Demanding to resolve the drinking water crisis and repair of water pipelines, residents of Chetan Colony, ward number 48, staged a protest today.

“We did not get drinking water supply for the last couple of weeks, but HDMC officials are not paying any heed to our grievances. Though we submitted complaints to officials several times, they have not taken any action,” the protesters said.

“We have also approached corporator of the ward Suvarna Kanakuntla. But she is also not responding,” they alleged.

Later the protesting residents threatened that they would intensify their protest if the issue does not get resolved.
