HUBBALLI: Dr. Abdul Qadeer, founder and chairman of Shaheen Group of Institutions, Bidar; inaugurated Sana Shaheen PU Science College at a well-attended launching ceremony at a private hotel in the City, recently.
Addressing the gathering after inauguration, Dr. Abdul Qadeer emphasized on the need for moral education in the present era. “There are a lot of doctors in our country. But we lack doctors with moral values. At Shaheen college, we are equally focusing on producing doctors who can feel the pain of humanity. So far, more than 1200 students of our college have got seats in various top medical colleges in the country,” he added.
“People from the twin-cities of Hubballli-Dharwad had a long-term demand to start the Shaheen PU College in Hubballi. I could say that now the wait is over and students from this region need not come to Bidar to pursue PU Science, as a team of visionary people led by Mr. Ashrafi Ali has taken the responsibility to add a new feather to this educational hub. Sana Shaheen PU Science College shall be fully operational from this academic year itself at Sana Campus in Hubballi,” Dr. Abdul Qadeer noted.
Briefing the vision and mission of Sana Shaheen Education Trust, Mr. Ashraf Ali, the managing trustee, said, “Hubballi is going to see an investment of Rs. 100 to 150 crore in the field of education in the next five years. With the development of Hubballi as a smart city and investments by companies like Infosys in the City, Hubballi is going to be the next educational hub of South India. We intend to lead this education revolution by bringing in the best in the class methodology of teaching and an unparalleled academic infrastructure.” Mr. Ashraf Ali noted.
Chief guests Mr. Tanveer Ahmed from Bengaluru, Dr. Rafeeq sab from Hyderabad, Rtd. Principal Prof. Abdul Kareem also addressed the gathering and emphasized on the need for quality education, while Chairman Mr. MM Malagi presided over the function. Mr. Ayub Savanur presented the welcome speech.
