HUBBALLI: District In-charge Minister Jagadeesh Shettar visited the Sanjeevini and Heggeri Ayurveda College and inspected the Covid-19 treatment hospital on the campus.
The number of Covid-19 cases has risen quickly in the district. Hospitals have been provided at Ayurveda colleges for treatment of Covid patients with symptoms of lesser intensity, Deputy Commissioner Deepa Cholan told the minister.
The facility has been provided in addition to the Kims Hospital, which has got 35 ventilators and 250 beds. The patients with intense symptoms are being treated at Kims, she added.
Legislators Aravinda Bellada, Hubballi Urban Development Authority president Nagesh Kalaburagi, chief minister’s legal advisor Mohan A Limbikayi, district health officer Yashwanth Madinkar, Hubballi tahsildar Shashidhar Madyala, Ayurveda College principals Dr Bannigola and Dr Prashanth were present on the occasion.
