In a new record, Karnataka reported a staggering 1,267 cases of Covid-19 between 5 pm, June 27, and 5 pm, June 28, setting alarm bells ringing.
According to the media bulletin issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, the state tested a total of 13,835 samples during the 24-hour period, of which 12,448 samples tested negative.
With the new daily rise, the state has so far reported 13,190 cases of Covid-19.
There have been 207 Covid deaths, including 16 in the past 24-hour period. As many as 247 patients are in the ICU.
On the positive note, 7,507 patients have already been discharged, including 220 who were discharged in the said 24-hour period.
